Website Maintenance FAQ's

Regular maintenance of your website is important if you want to keep it running securely and speedily. Your WordPress website is built using a theme and a variety of different third-party plugins which all provide different functions. The WordPress software, theme and the plugins are constantly being updated with new functionality and security features. A failure to update to the latest version can lead to errors appearing on your website over time as well as making it less secure. Regular backups are vital especially if you are regularly adding new content to the website. In the event of something going wrong with your website hosting you risk losing all that content. Unless you or someone who works for you understands very well the backend of your WordPress site you need to hire someone to do this for you.

The short answer to this is yes. Many clients relationship with their web designer ends after their website goes live which is not ideal unless a plan for maintenance of the website has been agreed upon. Another common scenario is that the company who originally designed your website has ceased trading or the person who designed it has moved on to other things. 

Almost any and all content updates that can be reasonably done within the 60 or 120 minute allowance that comes with your package. This could include for example changes to pricing, the addition of new product information, changes or additions to images, content, page layout changes, publishing blog posts and news updates etc.

Anything that cannot reasonably be done within the 60 or 120 minute monthly allowance is not included in the website maintenance package. An example of this would be major changes to the websites layout or the addition of a number of new pages. Don’t worry though – if this arises we are happy to provide you with a keenly priced quote for the additional work.

The website maintenance plans do not include any other of our digital marketing services such as content creation or paid search marketing. It also doesn’t include any additional SEO services other than those listed in the plan features above. We are quite happy to quote for these on a bespoke basis – just get in touch to find out more.

You will be billed monthly with a recurring invoice sent each month. But don’t worry as you can cancel at anytime. You can also opt to pay for the full amount upfront and receive a discount for doing so.

Yes we are website design specialists. Annual maintenance for websites we design differ to the prices advertised here. This is something we agree with clients at the beginning of the web design process.
